Users may encounter Core Platform errors or Core DLL errors when running Pc-Check Windows on all versions of Windows 7 SP1 x86/x64.

Cause:

Platform errors and Core DLL errors can occur on Windows 7 SP1 x86/x64 systems, particularly with Pc-Check Windows versions that require specific hardware, software, or network conditions.

Resolution:

  • Ensure the system meets the minimum hardware requirements for Pc-Check Windows v3.5.2.2 and earlier:

    • Processor: 1 GHz (32-bit) or 2 GHz (64-bit)
    • RAM: 1 GB (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit) for 32-bit systems; 4 GB for 64-bit systems
    • Hard Disk Space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit) available
    • Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

     

  • Ensure the system meets the minimum software requirements for Pc-Check Windows v3.5.2.2 and earlier:

    • Windows 7 SP1 x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit)
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2
    • Security Update for Windows 7 for x86-based or x64-based Systems (KB4474419)

     

  • For all versions after Pc-Check Windows v3.5.2.6:

    • Only x64 (64-bit) systems are supported
    • A DirectX 12 compatible graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver is required

     

  • If encountering a Core DLL Error on Windows 7 SP1 x86, ensure there is an active network connection, as this may be required for proper operation.

 

  • If using Pc-Check Windows v3.5.2.6 on Windows 7 SP1 x86 and experiencing a platform error, you will need to roll-back to v3.5.2.2 also verify that all minimum requirements are met and consider upgrading to a supported operating system or hardware configuration if issues persist.
