The following message may appear when booting from a Eurosoft USB Program Device. The “Your software license has expired” message will appear for one of the following reasons:

  • The expiry date in the license file on the USB Program Device has passed.
  • The system date on the Unit under Test is incorrect, such as being on or before the creation date of the license.
  • The license file is not in the correct location on the USB Program Device, such that it has read incorrectly.

Support Expired.

License file is expired
If the license file is expired, Pc-Check UEFI will shut down after displaying the expiry message for 10 seconds.
Most Eurosoft product licenses can be used forever (perpetually). Exceptions include evaluations and trials, licenses that are security locked or have a dongle, and when certain development changes occur, for example due to industry changes which can be unpredictable and “end-of-life” (EOL) status. To monitor and control product license situations, the program may present a message that it will or has expired. In the event you experience a program expiration or the program has stopped working, please go to the website and contact Eurosoft Technical Support or send an email to support@eurosoft-uk.com. We will investigate your issue, which may simply be that you need a new program license or update, or perhaps a renewed USB product device license. NOTE: To receive updates and technical support, you must have a current renewal subscription.
Use the instruction below to add the license to your device.

  1. Copy the license file in the email attachment named ‘PccheckUEFI.lic’ to the Preferred Eurosoft USB program device. Add the license to either the Root folder or to the EFI\BOOT folder.
  2. Insert the Preferred Eurosoft USB program device into a spare USB port on the Unit under Test.
  3. Select the Preferred Eurosoft USB program device from the Unit under Test Boot Menu. (The method to invoke the BIOS boot menu will vary between systems; consult the system documentation for the correct method.)

The date on the unit under test is incorrect
The license file may still be in date but the unit being tested has an incorrect Date and Time set in the BIOS. Set the correct Date and Time to resolve this issue.
License file is not in the correct location on the device, so it has not been read
The license file should be located on the USB device in either the Root folder or the EFI\BOOT folder. If not in one of these locations please move the file to either to fix the License Error.
