The following may appear when booting from a Eurosoft USB Program Device. The “License Error” message appears because no license is found on the USB device. The reason for this maybe one of following:
- The USB Program Device was not pre-licensed before being shipped
- The program license file was sent to owner by e-mail with instructions to add to the device
- The program license file is not in the correct location on the device, so it has not been read
- The program license has not been purchased by the plug recipient
- Wrong boot device method selected
License error. License File Not Found.
USB Program Device was not pre-licensed before being shipped
If the program device was shipped without being pre-licensed in error, please send an email to support@eurosoft-uk.com
We will confirm the entitlement is valid and reply to the email with the license file attached. Use the instruction below to add the license to your device.
- Copy the license file in the email attachment named ‘PccheckUEFI.lic’ to the Preferred Eurosoft USB program device. Add the license to either the Root folder or to the EFI\BOOT folder.
- Insert the Preferred Eurosoft USB program device into a spare USB port on the Unit under Test.
- Select the Preferred Eurosoft USB program device from the Unit under Test Boot Menu. (The method to invoke the BIOS boot menu will vary between systems; consult the system documentation for the correct method.)
Program license file was sent to owner by e-mail with instructions to add to the device
The license file may have been sent separately via email, rather than being on the program device when shipped. If you are the original purchaser, check whether an email has been sent with the license file attached.
If you cannot find the email or the license please send an email to support@eurosoft-uk.com

Program license file is not in the correct location on the device, so it has not been read
The license file should be located on the USB device in either the Root folder or the EFI\BOOT folder. If not in one of these locations please move the file to either to fix the License Error.
Program license has not been purchased by the USB Program Device recipient
It may be the case that there is no entitlement to use Pc-Check UEFI on the USB Device. The Eurosoft USB program device is shipped with two diagnostic products pre-loaded. Pc-Check and Pc-Check UEFI can be purchased both together and separately, but both product are on the USB Program Device and, when licensed accordingly, ready for immediate use.
If you have not yet purchased either Pc-Check or Pc-Check UEFI and wish to begin using the non-licensed product please contact info@eurosoft-uk.com for purchasing options or visit our website at www.eurosoft-uk.com.
Wrong boot device method selected
If you are trying to boot only Pc-Check and do not want to use Pc-Check UEFI. Please reboot the system and select the Legacy only boot method for the USB Device. The Eurosoft USB Program Device may be available in the boot menu as both “UEFI: EurosoftProgram Device PMAP” or “EurosoftProgram Device PMAP”. For Pc-Check only choose the latter.
Example for Boot Override from a Gigabyte EUFI BIOS, Boot device selection UEFI: EurosoftProgram Device PMAP” or “EurosoftProgram Device PMAP.
