Solution:
There are Minimum and Maximum Temperatures as parameters in the test.
The Maximum Temp is set to 80°C as an industry standard.
Change this Maximum value to get a test PASS if it is within your acceptable limits.
Question:
Dear sirs, I tested a Gigabyte motherboard and got a fail on motherboard due to heat -> 88°C
I was using the newly updated version of Windows Pc-Check Diagnostic from a USB-key.
Installed a new Noctua NH-U12S fan.
I ran the test again and got the same fail on motherboard due to heat -> 88°C
Set fan to full speed in BIOS => fail on motherboard due to heat -> 85°C (3°C less)
Updated the BIOS from E8 to the latest E9 and ran the test again => fail on motherboard due to heat -> 83°C (still 3°C less)
Can you tell me the implications of this test failing or is it simply a false positive?
